It's been a while since I updated this page what with Christmas, Desi Valentines and Desi Mother's Day cards being published we have been quite busy! So, Jivana Style has been hitting the headlines yet again, and we have just found out that a story that ran in the Daily Express newspaper in March was picked up by the news agency Press Trust India and sent to loads of Indian media, the story was published in: The Hindu, The Financial Express, Yahoo India, Deccan Herald, Indian Express, and Zee News to name but a few!
Jivana Style on TV again!
On Friday 12th December 2007, the BBC2 programme Working Lunch featured Jivana Style. The report covered our journey into creating products for a unique niche market and our funky designs for British Asians. We thought the report was fab - tell us what you think!

HSBC Start-Up Stars 2007
Jivana Style fought off some serious competition for the HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards 2007; and after being nominated for the Regional finals, went on to become a winner in the London Regional heats.
On 22nd August, Samantha Alfred was presented with the London Regional Winners Award 2007 at the HSBC headquarters at Canary Wharf.

May 2007 NEWS!!!
What a month it has been! We had a huge amount of press interest inlcluding a feature in Eastern Eye newspaper; a live radio interview with Satnam Rana for the Midland's Masala BBC West Midlands Radio programme; interviews with Venus TV and MA TV - two Asian satellite channels; a glamourous photo-shoot and interview with the Asiana Magazine; apparently we were featured in the Leicester Metro - yet to be confrimed! Last but not least....we have just filmed a top TV programme....watch this space for an update!

National Mela - 17-19 November 2006
Yet another steaming success! How busy? Really busy! We didn't get a chance to go star spotting - however on the rare quiet moment a few celeb's did manage to make it through! Thank you all for supporting us, for your encouragement and returning again to buy.
Still the original and the best, there's only one place to buy your truly unique Desi greeting cards and gifts.... Jivana Style pass it on....

Jivana Style was featured on the official Mela '06 website, in the Press Release "Eastern themed weddings hit the NEC - 08-11-2006".
Clinton Cards - Roll-out to stores nationwide
Jivana Style ran a successful test of it's unique Asian greeting cards with the UK's largest greeting card retailer Clinton Cards, in March 2006 and by September the cards were stocked in over 100 Clinton Card stores nationwide inlcluding its online shop. Although the Dragon's saw no potential in the business, Clinton Cards clearly understood the gap in the market for design-led Asian cards and chose to back Sam and her designs.
BBC's Dragons' Den
A BBC producer approached us to pitch for the Dragon's Den TV series, at the Business Start-Up Exhibition NEC, in June 2006. Jivana Style was selected from 4,000 applicants to proceed and after 4 weeks of rigourous interviews and form filling, we pitched the business to the fiery Dragons! 4 million viewers nationwide watched while Samantha Alfred braved the wrath of the Dragons - although they said no - we did it anyway!
