About Us
Jivana Style was born out of a need to fill the gap in the Asian and Multi-cultural greeting card market. For years we realised there was a gaping hole in the UK's high street offer and there were no Asian, Indian or Multi-cultural birthday and wedding cards that were new and exciting.
We knew it was time to distance ourselves from the traditional imported Diwali and Eid cards and improve on design and quality - British Asian culture requires Inspired designs from the East with quality and contemporary designs from the West. So that's just what we did!
After realising that non-one was looking to cater for the British Asian or "Desi" audience, it baffled Samantha as to why! For years all things Indian were very fashionable in the west, the UK's favourite dish is curry, Bhangra, Asian and Punjabi music has filtered into the mainstream music industry, Indian comedians have made a big noise on our television sets with the likes of "Goodness Gracious Me", The Kumar's at No.42 and programmes from BBC Asian network and more recently Bollywood.
Enough said.....what about greeting cards and gifts?
Fresh & Funky Asian Cards
Samantha took on the huge challenge to create a unique range of cards and gifts that represents British Asian culture and the massive multi-cutlural audience of the West; she designs all Jivana Style's greeting cards, Indian style Wedding invitations and Desi gifts for South Asians, Indians and all multi-ethnic audiences; a young trendy artist, Sam is extremely design conscious and has her ear to the ground, developing products as a direct response to the latest British Asian and multi-cultural street trends.
Henna Inspired Designs
With inspiration from her mehndi background, Sam created one of the UK's first handmade range of henna cards - these gorgeous cards are available to buy online or in selected Clinton Card stores nationwide. (See our Press page for details)
All our henna or mehndi cards are orginal designs created especially for Jivana Style; they are all printed and hand finished here in the UK assuring you of the best in design and quality.
